What is Sage yoga?

What Is Sage Yoga?

Sage Yoga is a practice infused with lived wisdom — a yoga experience shaped by what it means to move through life in an older, larger, or movement-challenged body. In these classes, we embrace yoga as it truly meets us, using walls for balance and props for support, as often as needed. Each session includes a question and an intention, inviting us to embody acceptance — of our challenges, our growth, and ourselves — both on the mat and out in the world.

How Did Sage Yoga Begin?

I am a 200-hour certified yoga teacher who has learned the practice through the lens of an older body — one that has known size fluctuations, a fused wrist, a replaced knee, a crippled foot, and more than 20 surgeries. My teaching comes from lived experience and deep compassion for what it means to move with limitations and still find freedom in the body.

Do I Have to Be “Good” at Yoga?

There’s no such thing as being “good” at yoga. The practice meets you exactly where you are — and that’s where the real yoga begins.
